Unilever Indonesia to Distribute Dividends of IDR 2.93 Trillion, IDR77 per Share

TEMPO.CO, JakartaPT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. will distribute dividends amounting to IDR77 per share for the fiscal year 2023. The total dividends to be distributed to shareholders reach Rp2.93 trillion.

This decision was made at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) in Tangerang on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Throughout 2023, Unilever Indonesia recorded net sales of IDR 38.6 trillion and net profit of IDR 4.8 trillion. Meanwhile, the gross margin increased 346 basis points compared to the 2022 financial year.

The final dividend is taken from the net profit for the financial year 2023 and retained earnings from previous years. The company will distribute the final dividend no later than July 18, 2024.

Previously, Unilever Indonesia had distributed the 2023 interim dividend of Rp63 per share, totaling Rp2.4 trillion, to the Company's shareholders whose names were registered in the company's register of shareholders on December 8, 2023, at 16:00 WIB. Thus, the total dividend for 2023 is Rp140 per share, or Rp5.34 trillion.

Benjie Yap, President Director of Unilever Indonesia, said the company remains focused on strengthening and driving growth that supports its business. According to him, the company's consistent efforts in navigating the external crisis have begun to show results this year.

"We are grateful for the unwavering support from consumers, customers, partners and stakeholders in 2023," he said in an official statement on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

On the same occasion, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. also announced the composition of its new board of directors. The board's composition is more concise to ensure that the decision-making process is faster and more efficient.

"An efficient organization will encourage us to be more agile in responding to consumer trends and sales channels while maintaining strong accountability in achieving our goals," Benjie said.

The following is the latest composition of Unilever Indonesia's Board of Directors:

President Director: Benjie Yap

Directors: Vivek Agarwal, Ainul Yaqin, Enny Hartati Sampurno, Hernie Raharja, and Willy Saelan.

Nurdiana Darus will be proposed for appointment as President Director of Unilever Enterprises Indonesia (UEI) if approved by UEI shareholders. In the meantime, she will continue her duties as Head of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Unilever Indonesia.

Then, there is Amaryllis Esti Wijono as General Manager Nutrition Unilever Indonesia who will focus on driving the company's growth, as well as market development in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Hira Triadi resigned from the company.
