Citing various sources, here are some herbal plants that can help reduce fat in our bodies:

1. Green Tea

Drinking green tea regularly is reported to help you lose weight. Green tea naturally contains several compounds that are beneficial to the body.

The most important compounds in green tea are caffeine and antioxidants. Caffeine is a stimulant that helps with fat burning, energy, and exercise performance.

Meanwhile, the powerful antioxidants in green tea have anti-obesity effects and can protect the body from cell damage. These two compounds can help the body burn fat.

2. Ginger

Ginger is a flowering plant whose roots are widely used. Ginger also reduces inflammation, stimulates digestion, and suppresses appetite.

These properties have led some people to believe that ginger may promote weight loss. A meta-analysis study of the benefits of ginger for weight loss shows that ginger has a significant effect on body weight and abdominal fat (waist-to-hip ratio).

3. Turmeric

The active ingredient in turmeric, curcumin, has been shown to have powerful anti-inflammatory and health benefits. Other research shows that curcumin can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce obesity without causing side effects.

4. West Indian Elm

West Indian elm or bay cedar leaves (Guazuma ulmifolia) are known as a medicinal plant effective for weight loss. Researchers in Japan found that compounds in this plant can affect fat tissue in the human body.

This compound is known to turn white adipose tissue brown. This brown adipose tissue is responsible for keeping the body warm by burning calories and producing heat. This effect is said to be able to burn body fat and ultimately reduce weight.

5. Ginseng

Ginseng has been used as a traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Stress, uncontrolled blood sugar and high cholesterol are causes of poor health and weight gain. Research in Korea indicates that ginseng is an effective herbal medicine for weight loss in women.

6. Cinnamon
