TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) presented the summary of its first audit results report (IHPS I) of 2023 to the House of Representatives (DPR). The report found that there is a potential state loss of Rp18.19 trillion in the first half.
Head of BPK Isma Yatun said that the IHPS contained a summary of 705 audit results reports (LHP) consisting of 681 financial LHPs, 2 performance LHPs, and 22 LHPs with Specific Objectives (DTT).
"The LHP revealed 9,261 findings which included weaknesses in the internal control system, non-compliance that could result in losses, potential losses and revenue shortfalls, as well as inefficiency, inefficiency, and ineffectiveness with a total value of Rp18.19 trillion," he said in a DPR plenary meeting which was streamed live via the DPR's YouTube channel on Tuesday, December 5.
The two classifications of findings with the largest value are potential state losses of Rp7.43 trillion and revenue shortfalls of Rp6.01 trillion. Based on the results of the audit, Isma said, during the process the entities had followed up by depositing money and/or handing over assets worth a total of Rp852.82 billion.
"Further optimization of BPK's audit results by the government is a crucial part of maximizing the impact of audits as a mechanism for accountability and transparency within the framework of good governance," said Isma.
Furthermore, Isma said that the 2023 IHPS I contained 134 audit results of the 2022 financial reports to the central government. The BPK also audited 542 regional government financial reports in 2022.
"In addition to the central and regional governments, we also audited four other bodies' financial reports in 2022: Bank Indonesia's annual financial reports, the Financial Services Authority, the Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Hajj Financial Management Agency," Isma said.
