TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early weather warning for today, November 20, 2023. The agency reported the possibility of rain, lightning, and brief periods of severe wind in certain East and South Jakarta areas throughout the afternoon and evening.

Except for the Thousand Islands, which are expected to get rain in the morning, all areas of the capital will be shrouded in clouds. In the afternoon, South and East Jakarta may become wet with light rain.

Rain is also possible in West and Central Jakarta in the evening. For South Jakarta, the intensity of the rain will rise to a moderate level.

Additionally, the agency sent out an early warning for Jakarta’s neighbors. There is a likelihood of moderate to heavy rain with lightning and strong winds on a local scale which will drench Depok, Bogor, and Bekasi during the day.

The early warning also applies to southern parts of Tangerang Regency and South Tangerang City. As for this morning, the BMKG forecasted that Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi will all see partly sunny weather.
