BMKG Forecasts Greater Jakarta to Experience Scorching Heat Again

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bright, intense sunlight will greet Jakarta this morning, October 2, 2023. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasted no cloud cover so that the entire area of the capital city will experience hot weather.
In the afternoon, there will be a few clouds in the sky but in the evening, the sky will be clear again for all areas except North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands, which will be partly cloudy.
The highest air temperature is expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius in West Jakarta. Other areas will see up to 34 degrees, namely South Jakarta and East Jakarta.
Jakarta’s surrounding regions, including Bekasi, Depok City, Depok Regency, and Bogor Regency will also experience scorching hot mornings. In Bekasi and Depok, no clouds will be seen until noon, and the sky will only be partly cloudy in the evening.
The agency predicted that the highest temperature will be up to 35 degrees Celsius in Bekasi, while Depok and Bogor Regency will reach 34 degrees and Bogor City up to 33 degrees.
Meanwhile, the weather in Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency (Tigaraksa), and South Tangerang (Serpong) will be partly sunny this morning. The clouds will disappear in the afternoon, causing the areas to be hot and humid. At night, the sky will become partly cloudy again.
BMKG estimated that today's air temperature in Greater Tangerang will be between 24 and 36 degrees Celsius with a maximum humidity of 90 percent.
