TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport was temporarily paralyzed by a power outage on Monday morning, September 18, 2023. The airport’s spokesperson M. Holik Muardi said there was a disruption in the electricity supply from Power Station 3.
“The power supply is interrupted only in Terminal 3, which serves international flights,” Holik said on Monday, September 18, 2023.
The electricity supply to Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3 serving the domestic flights operated normally.
Holik confirmed there were no significant flight disruptions due to the power cut. “We ensure that all flights are running smoothly today. Soekarno-Hatta Airport remains operational 24 hours a day,” he said.
However, he acknowledged that the power failure had caused some flight delays. “There was a buildup, but it was quickly resolved,” he added.
According to him, when the power went out, the relevant units immediately restored the supply to Terminal 3, and the power has been normal since 8:35 a.m. local time.
Holik further relayed an apology from Angkasa Pura II or AP II, the operator of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, for the inconvenience caused by the power outage. “We apologize to air passengers, airlines, airport service users, business partners, and all airport stakeholders,” Holik said.
