TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian-owned oil and gas giant Pertamina posted a net profit of Rp56 trillion in 2022. Corporate Director Nicke Widyawati claimed this is the highest ever recorded.
“Alhamdulillah, we can close 2022 with the highest performance in Pertamina's history. We can record a profit of US$3.81 billion, or equal to Rp56.61 trillion,” Nicke said at Jakarta Grha Pertamina on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.
She explained that the company's revenue increased 48 percent to US$84.89 billion or is equal to Rp1,262.34 trillion. “So this is about a third of the state budget (APBN),” she added.
The company's Ebitda (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) also jumped by 47 percent. According to Nicke, the performance achievements throughout 2022 were not caused by unexpected good fortune or windfall. “But we fixed the foundation so that everything made contributions,” she emphasized.
As quoted from Pertamina's official website, the company's net profit in 2021 amounted to US$2.046 billion or around Rp29.3 trillion. This figure almost doubled compared to 2020's net profit of Rp15.3 trillion.
