TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State railway operator PT KAI has signed a cooperation contract with PT INKA Multi Solusi Trading (PT IMST), a subsidiary of state-owned railway manufacturer PT INKA to procure a number of railroad car components on a multi-year basis. The contract of around Rp800 billion was signed at PT KAI Yogyakarta's Balai Yasa Office, attended by a number of officials from two agencies.
"The signing of this contract is for the procurement of maintenance kit components for train bogies and INKA carriages on a multi-year basis from 2023 to 2026," said PT IMST president director Wai Wahdan after signing the contract, Thursday, April 6.
The train and carriage components included in the procurement contract are mainly for K1 and K3 passenger train types.
There are four stages of procurement that will be carried out through a multi-year contract from 2023 to 2026. "This procurement contract collaboration is a form of our support for PT KAI as a public transportation service company so that it can always provide excellent facilities to train users," Wai Wahdan said.
Meanwhile, KAI acting director of facility management John Roberto said that the collaboration focuses on improving the management of railroad facilities on a multi-year basis.
"With this multi-year collaboration from 2023 to 2026, we hope to achieve effective and efficient goals in our bid to maintain railway facilities," he said.
