7 Utility Poles Collapse in Anyer Causing Traffic Jam, Power Outage

TEMPO.CO, Serang - Seven electricity poles spanning 500 meters of Jalan Raya Anyer collapsed after being hit by heavy rains and strong winds on Saturday, April 1. The power poles were located precisely in Tambang Ayam Village until Cikoneng, Anyer Subdistrict, Serang Regency.
The collapse of the electric poles caused traffic jams at the Anyer route in front of Regal Raya hotel until Anyer Cottage Hotel. In addition, several villages experienced a power outage, such as in Cikoneng-Tambang Ayam Village and Bandulu Village in Anyer Subdistrict.
Anyer Police Chief Adj. Commissioner Sudibyo Wardoyo asked road users heading to Anyer to be careful due to erratic weather.
"Currently, officers of the State Electricity Company (PLN) in Anyer are fixing the electricity. As for the traffic flow, our officers are still in the field to manage the traffic," Sudibyo Wardoyo remarked.
He said that the collapsed power poles and the PLN wires could be moved aside so the traffic could turn to normal.
