TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior Politician of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Hendrawan Supratikno, said that House speaker Puan Maharani discussed the recently passed Job Creation Law when she met with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi at the State Palace on Friday, March 24.
“Well, it is obvious that the contents of the discussion are very important and strategic," said Hendrawan when contacted by Tempo, Saturday, March 25
However, Hendrawan did not explain in more detail the contents of the discussion on the Job Creation Law.
Puan Maharani revealed that she talked about the coalition map of political parties when she met President Jokowi on Friday. She said that the meeting with Jokowi was carried out in her capacity as the House of Representatives speaker and as Chair of PDIP DPP.
As the chair of PDIP DPP, Puan conveyed several important things related to the 2024 election strategy. “And how to respond the current dynamic of the politics, including about the future cooperation of political parties,” Puan remarked.
Puan Maharanicalled herself and Jokowi as PDIP cadres, so they have to work together in making political decision for the public welfare.
