International Bodybuilding Contest NPC IFBB Pro League

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe international fitness and bodybuilding contest, NPC IFBB Pro League, will be held in in the Basketball Hall, Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia, on July 9th, 2023.

For years, Indonesian fitness enthusiasts have dreamed of a platform to showcase their talent and skills. Unfortunately, they need to go abroad to do that because there weren’t any international and professional body-building contests in the country.

“Our vision is to produce 1.000 Indonesian fitness and bodybuilding athletes on an international level,” said Christian Dicky, the CEO of Evolene Indonesia Championship (EIC).

EIC will be the first NPC IFBB Pro League regional contest ever held in Indonesia. This will be a chance for Indonesian bodybuilders to showcase their hard work, dedication, and passion for fitness, and potentially enter the professional bodybuilding league.

Categories and Classes

The championship will take place There will be 13 classes that will be contested, divided into 3 categories: Men’s Physique, Men’s Classic Physique, and Men’s Body Building.

There are 6 classes under the Men's Physique category, such as Junior (Under 23), Novice, Open Class A, Class B, Class C, and Overall Champion. The Men’s Classic Physique has 5 classes, just like the Men's Physique category, but without the Junior level. Meanwhile, Men’s Body Building only has Lightweight and Heavy-weight types.

Every class will have its champion. For every champion, Evolene has prepared a cash contract worth Rp63 million and a latest motorcycle as a reward.

Not only that, the 2nd to 5th winners also get rewards. The total prizes prepared by Evolene reach Rp750 million, including an exclusive contract with Evolene and full support to compete in the next level contest.

“This competition is open to the public, but we only accept a maximum of 500 registrants. For exclusive contracts, it is optional, can be taken or not,” explained Dicky.

The First Step to be Olympia Athlete

EIC is an official body-building competition registered with NPC Worldwide. NPC (National Physique Committee) is the largest amateur bodybuilding organization in the world. It is the only amateur organization recognized by IFBB Pro League.

IFBB Pro League is the professional league for bodybuilding athletes that sanction the largest professional contest, such as Mr. Olympia and Arnold Classics Sport Festival.

In other words, EIC is the first step for Mr. Olympia. After winning in regional competition like EIC, the winner will compete in Pro Qualifier to get a Pro Card. After that, the athletes need to compete in the Olympia Qualifier. If they keep winning, they can proceed to compete in the Mr. Olympia.

“Our mission is to facilitate Indonesian fitness and bodybuilding athletes to excel and go international,” said Dicky. “Therefore, we are ready to support Indonesian bodybuilding athletes, from the NPC regional event contest stage, Pro Qualifier, Olympia Qualifier, to Mr. Olympia.”
