Jokowi, PM Lee Discuss Singapore's Investment in New Capital of IKN

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Wednesday departed for Singapore to meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in a leaders’ retreat, which is an annual bilateral event between leaders of the two countries. Last year, this was held at Bintan, Riau Islands.
Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, who has landed in Singapore, said the meeting this year will focus on Singapore’s investment in Indonesia’s future new capital city of Nusantara or IKN.
"Economic, digital, health, and renewable energy cooperation will be the focus of this discussion," said Retno in a written statement on March 16.
The President is accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Protocol and Consular Affairs director general and Head of State Protocol Andy Rachmianto, Commander of the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) Major General Rafael Granada Baay, President’s personal secretary Anggit Noegroho, and Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Secretariat of President Bey Machmudin
Jokowi departed for Singapore from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta, aboard the Indonesia 1 Presidential Aircraft on Thursday morning at 07:00 WIB (Indonesian Western Time). The President will leave Singapore for South Kalimantan Province to attend a domestic ‘working meeting.’
