Minister Sri Mulyani Speaks of Law Enforcement and Financial Sector

16 March 2023 12:07 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati asserted that consistent law enforcement builds a stern foundation for the development of the financial sector and economy as a whole. This was mentioned by the Minister in a virtual meeting with the Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) on Wednesday.

"The financial sector can only develop if there is legal certainty from a regulatory standpoint," said Sri Mulyani in Jakarta on March 15.

In the meeting, she asserted continued support for the National Police (Polri) to take the active role in maintaining security stability and business certainty. In the last 10 years, the National Police is one of the state institutions that have been fully funded by the State Budget.

Sri Mulyani insists that the police budget is allocated in the context of ensuring professionalism, improving the quality of equipment, and rejuvenation of various facilities and infrastructure that can keep up with current modern times.
