Jakarta Blackpink Concert; Police Deploy 1,022 Joint Personnel to Secure GBK Area

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Korean girl band Blackpink will hold a concert at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta tonight. The Jakarta Metro Police official said that the institution had deployed thousands of joint personnel in the area.
"The total of joint personnel is 1,022," said the Jakarta Metro Police Chief of Public Relations Sr. Commissioner Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko in a statement on Saturday, March 11.
There is 932 joint personnel from Jakarta Metro Jaya Police and North Jakarta Police, 30 members of the military (TNI), and 60 personnel from the Jakarta Provincial Government.
Traffic Directorate of Jakarta Police calls on the Blackpink concertgoers to use public transport as several roads close to the concert location will potentially be congested.
"Avoid areas near GBK, Asia-Afrika, Gatot Subroto, Sudirman, and Gerbang Pemuda to avoid traffic congestion at around 13:00-20:00 Jakarta time," as quoted from the official account of Jakarta Traffic Police @tmcpoldametro, today.
Citing from the Instagram account of the concert promoter @ime_indonesia, the gate of the main stage was opened at 12:00, while the concert would be started at 19:00 Western Indonesia Time WIB.
On the second day of the Blackpink concert, the gate of the main stage would also be opened at the same time but the concert would be started at 18:30 WIB.
