TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (IDX: PTBA), a member of MIND ID, is targeting to produce 41 million tons of coal this year. The production volume target is higher by 11 percent year on year (YoY) from 2022's actual output of 37.1 million tons.

In a press conference at the St Regis Hotel in Jakarta, on March 9, PTBA president director Arsal Ismail said that the lifting volume target is set at 32 million tons, also raised by 11 percent from last year's realization.

Arsal said that in 2022 the company posted a net profit of Rp12.6 trillion, which is the highest in the company's history. The net profit reflected a 159-percent (YoY) growth from 2021's Rp7.9 trillion in 2021.

Meanwhile, coal sales volume is targeted to reach 41.2 million tons, up 30 percent from last year's 31.7 million tons sold.

Last year, the state-owned coal mining giant exported 12.5 million tons of coals, while their DMO reached 19.2 million tons—216 percent of the DMO target.
