Jakarta BPBD: Fire Victims of Pertamina Plumpang Depot Rises to 38

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported that 38 people suffering from heavy injuries because of the fire at the Pertamina Plumpang depot are still undergoing medical treatment. The agency's acting chief M. Ridwan Ibrahim, said that they are being treated at nine hospitals.
"Thirty-eight people are being treated by medical teams at nine hospitals," Ridwan said in a written statement on Monday, March 6, 2023.
The data is collected as of Monday, March 6, 2023, at 12:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Previously, the number of injured victims being treated amounted to 37. Most of the injured victims are receiving medical treatment at RSPP (24 people).
The others are undergoing medical treatment in RSCM (1 person), Port Hospital (3 people), Tugu Hospital (1 person), Koja Hospital (1 person), Yarsi Hospital (2 people), Firdaus Hospital (1 person), Pertamina Jaya Hospital (2 people), and Pekerja Hospital (2 people).
Ridwan also mentioned that 18 people died in the fire incident and 204 people were displaced.
The number of affected people living temporarily at the PMI North Jakarta office has increased to a total of 193, while the number of people evacuating at RPTRA Rasella dropped by 17 to 11 people.
"The Jakarta BPBD has sent 50 personnel and set up two refugee tents located at RPTRA Rasela and North Jakarta Mayor's office," said Ridwan.
The Jakarta Provincial Government, Ridwan added, will continue to coordinate with various parties to deal with the fire at the Pertamina Plumpang depot in North Jakarta, which occurred on Friday night, March 3, 2023.
