TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry's inspector general Awan Nurmawan Nuh has formed three special teams to examine Tax Directorate General staff Rafael Alun Trisambodo.
"The first team is an examination team, the second is a team of tracing assets that have not been reported, and the third is an investigation team," Awan said in a press conference, Wednesday, March 1.
Awan Said that the examination team will be tasked with examining the Rafael's unreported wealth to the State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN). Next, the team will investigate allegations of fraud.
"We formed these teams to fast-track the process of examination as well as to help focus more on the issue," Awan said.
Awan said that in carrying out investigations, the ministry always coordinates with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), especially to investigate assets that have not been reported.
"And also PPATK (Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center) for purposes related to exploring information related to financial transactions."
Previously, Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara emphasized that the Ministry of Finance is an institution that maintains and manages state finances, so it needs to be managed properly.
"The employees' must have good behavior as well," he said.
Suahasil emphasized that all findings from the examination results will be accounted for by Rafael, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
"I would like to say once again that [Rafael] is still a state official who is bound by all laws and regulations governing the code of ethics and behavior of state civil apparatus, especially in the Ministry of Finance," he said.
