TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) on Monday morning forecasts fain to fall over a number of Jakarta areas, with some experiencing much heavier rain.
As the agency’s official website reported on February 27: “Stay vigilant over the potential storm and strong winds at the Thousand Islands and North Jakarta areas in the morning.”
The rain intensity is predicted to die down into noon and afternoon. The agency predicts that the heavy clouds over the capital city will remain until late in the evening.
The BMKG also issued an early weather warning for a potential rainstorm striking Jakarta’s satellite cities such as Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi. Other nearby regions are expected to see low-to-medium intensity rainfall.
