TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Syachrial Syarif, VP of Corporate Secretary at PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), said that the financial statements of Formula E Jakarta 2022 had been completely audited. According to the audit results, the electric car racing event earned a profit of Rp5.29 billion.
"It is different from what we previously announced, which was a little over Rp6 billion. After the audit, we came to a figure of Rp5.29 billion," Syachrial said on Thursday, February 2.
The audit was carried out by Public Accounting Firm (KAP) Jojo Sunarjo & Partners. After this audit, the financial statements of Formula E Jakarta 2022 will also be audited again by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
Previously, Jakpro said that the Jakarta E-Prix 2022 generated Rp6.41 billion profit before taxes, taking into account all cash and non-cash income and expenses, including outstanding liabilities until September 30, 2022.
This year, chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) Bambang Soesatyo said that the implementation of the 2023 Jakarta Formula E would not use funds from Jakarta's regional budget. He said that the committee will not submit proposals to SOEs, but to private companies.
"We have made renewals. Later, the funding for Formula E will not be from the regional budget—all must be from private companies and sponsors," Bambang said on January 16.
Meanwhile, Jakarta's acting governor Heru Budi Hartono had said that the sponsorship of Formula E is the business of JakPro as its organizer. He also said that SOEs that wish to sponsor the race should go ahead and apply.
