Chinese New Year; KAI Offers Train Tickets Starting at Rp100,000

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) offers 18,576 train tickets at cheap prices starting from Rp100,000 to various destinations ahead of the Chinese New Year 2023.
The promotion dubbed New Year Deals is aimed at improving the service to customers in coinciding with the 2023 New Year and Lunar New Year.
“Hopefully, the New Year Deals will raise people’s interest in KAI Access and help people traveling using trains at attractive tariffs,” said KAI’s Public Relations VP Joni Martinus in a written statement, Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
The deal is valid for the purchase of special tickets via the KAI Access app from January 20 to 31, 2023, for departures from January 21 to February 7, 2023.
The tickets offered start from Rp200,000 for executive class, Rp150,000 for business class, and Rp100,000 for economic class. 38 trains serving various routes, including from and to Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya will be available.
Especially for Semarang regional operation (Daop) 4, KAI operates 11 trains with discounted ticket prices, such as KA Argo Bromo Anggrek, KA Argo Muria, KA Argo Sindoro, KA Brantas, KA Dhrmawangsa, KA Gumarang, KA Harina, KA Jayabaya, KA Matarmaja, KA Kertajaya, and KA Sembrani.
According to the Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang, Ixfan Hendri Wintoko, the trains will serve routes to Semarang, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Pekalongan, Tegal, Cepu, and Malang.
