TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted that bad weather will hit Bali, and warned people not to conduct outdoor activities across the island’s coastline. The agency has also issued an early warning for potential high tide from January 10 to January 12, 2023.
The agency predicted high tides above 2-meters high will occur in the waters of the southern part of the Bali Strait, the Badung Strait, the southern part of the Lombok Strait, the southern waters of Bali, and the Indian Ocean in the southern part of Bali.
BMKG warned the public, especially fishermen and marine businesses to remain vigilant against the potentially strong winds and high waves, especially in the northern and southern regions. In addition, in the next 3 days, it is estimated that the wind speed will be around 5-30 kilometers per hour and the wind is expected to blow from the southwest to the west.
For the next 3 days, the agency predicted that the weather will generally be cloudy and the potential for light rain to moderate rain will be uneven in the north, central, and western regions of Bali.
