TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said the discussion in his meeting with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi was confidential.
“The meeting of the President and his minister is confidential. Moreover, it was [the meeting of] the President with the Defense Minister, [we] shouldn't have to tell to everyone [about it]," Prabowo told journalists Saturday, Jan. 7.
President Joko Widodo summoned Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto to the State Palace on Friday, to talk about governmental issues.
Previously, Minister Prabowo explained to Jokowi the plan to hold a Ministry of Defense Leadership Meeting on January 18, 2023.
“Defense Minister Pak Prabowo wanted to explain to Mr. President about Defense Ministry Leadership Meeting on January 18, 2023,” said the deputy of protocol, press, and media of the presidential secretary, Bey Machmudin, in a short message to journalists in Jakarta last Friday.
During the meeting, Prabowo said he invited President Jokowi and wished for his presence in the leadership meeting if the President's schedule was possible.
In addition to Prabowo, Jokowi also summoned Finance Minister Sri Mulyani on Friday.
