MRT Jakarta, Travelio Collaborate to Market Apartment Units Near Stations

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) and PT Horizon Internusa Persada (Travelio.com) are collaborating to market property / apartment units around the Jakarta MRT station and commuter line stations through the MRT-J application.
"This collaboration is part of our efforts to develop the concept of a Transit-oriented development or TOD in Jakarta," said PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Business Development Director Farchad Mahfud in a written statement, Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
There are at least 524 apartment units located around 1.3 to 2.4 kilometres from the MRT Jakarta station, such as the Bundaran HI, Dukuh Atas BNI, Blok M BCA, Fatmawati Indomaret, and Lebak Bulus Grab.
"This collaboration with Travelio is an implementation of the mixed function development concept, namely through the provision of housing in the TOD area," he said.
According to Farchad, one of the main principles of transit-oriented development used by PT MRT Jakarta is mixed functions through commercial, offices, residential institutions, and public facilities.
In addition, this collaboration is part of the initiation of an affordable housing program with the Alaspadu brand.
"Travelio.com as a company engaged in the rental, operation and management of residential properties, encourages the aspects of the development of transit-oriented areas by providing residential properties around the station," he said.
Farchad stated that the collaboration with Travelio.com is to support the digital transformation that is being carried out by PT MRT Jakarta, namely the utilization of digital applications as a source of non-fare box revenue for MRT Jakarta. It is planned that this cooperation agreement will last for the next three years.
Travelio.com CEO Hendry Rusli hopes that Travelio can present more varied options to MRT Jakarta commuters.
We see a positive opportunity for cooperation with MRT Jakarta. Hopefully in the future within two years of collaboration, Travelio can provide far more options for Jakarta MRT commuters to be able to live in comfortable and affordable housing," he said.
