TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Acting governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono on Wednesday said the provincial government is studying possibilities to impose remote work, more popularly known by the term work from home or WFH, ahead of extreme weather forecast during the end of 2022.
The government has coordinated its plans with the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) to better prepare for extreme weather. “We’ll see what the situation is like,” he said on December 7.
However, he said that once implemented, the authority will depend on each and every company’s discretion.
President Jokowi, previously reported by Antaranews, urged state ministers to prepare for the potential natural disasters that might occur due to extreme weather at the end of 2022.
The Jakarta government has coordinated its efforts with a myriad of agencies to prepare future mitigations once extreme weather does indeed strike regions in the capital city.
