West Java Police Chief: Suicide Bomber Carried Two Explosives

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Java Police Chief Inspector General Suntana revealed that the suicide bomber at the Astanaanyar Police station allegedly brought two units of bombs to the location.
One bomb, he said, was attached to the perpetrator's body. Meanwhile, the other bomb was found in the vicinity of the site that had not exploded.
"Earlier there was one that was blown up by the perpetrator, [and] we already detonated the second bomb," said Suntana. The second bomb was disposed of by the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimod) bomb defuser team in a safe place.
The bomb that exploded at 10:45 shocked the people around the location. The police are still identifying the explosives used by the suicide bomber.
Suntana stated that 11 people had fallen victim to the incident. Of the 11 people, one police officer was killed, while 10 others were injured.
