West Java Earthquake Death Toll Rises to 329 as Search Effort Continues

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The search and rescue team of Cianjur earthquake on Thursday found one more victim, increasing the death toll to 329 people with 11 people still reportedly missing.

According to the Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman on Thursday, the evacuation team faced weather hurdles and a series of aftershocks. He said that the team will utilize the last two search days remaining. 

“Hopefully, on Friday we will be able to find the rest,” said Herman. 

The recent data recorded that 595 people are severely injured. Meanwhile, 114,414 people are displaced and staying in 492 evacuation posts spread in the region.
