Densus 88 Nabs Alleged Terrorist in Central Java

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police anti-terrorist special forces Densus 88 on Thursday reportedly made an arrest on an alleged terrorist during a raid in Sukoharjo, Central Java.
According to Tempo sources, a number of the alleged terrorists were nabbed at a mosque in Paranjoro Village, Sukoharjo, earlier this morning. Local residents’ testimony suggested a man identified as M (49) was arrested. This person is known as one of the mosque’s managers.
The arrest was also confirmed by Sukoharjo Police Chief Adj. Commissioner Wahyu Nugroho Setyawan, “That is correct, there was an arrest made by Densus,” he said in a phone call with Tempo.
However, he did not detail the exact location of the arrest, adding that further information to be confirmed by the National Police Main Headquarters (Mabes Polri) in Jakarta.
Central Java Police spokesperson commissioner Iqbal Alqudussy also confirmed the terrorist arrest by the Densus 88.
