TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT SGMW Motor Indonesia (Wuling Indonesia) collaborates with PT Gotion Green Energy Solutions Indonesia (Gotion High-Tech) to develop electric vehicle batteries for the Indonesian automotive market. The partnership was signed at the Wuling Factory in Cikarang, West Java on Monday, November 28.
Wuling currently has in the market two models of electrified vehicles in Indonesia; the fully electric Air ev and Almaz Hybrid. Both are assembled locally in Cikarang.
The Wuling Air ev is offered in two variants, the Standard Range for Rp38 million with a battery run for up to 200 km, and the Long Range for Rp295 million with the ability to travel up to 300 km on a single charge.
The Air ev Standard Range is equipped with a 17.3 kWh Lithium Ferro-Phosphate battery. Meanwhile, the Long Range uses the same type of battery but with a capacity of 26.7 kWh.
Meanwhile, the Almaz Hybrid was built on the basis of the Almaz RS, which has been in the market since 2019. Almaz Hybrid was launched in Jakarta on November 3 this year with an on-the-road tag price of Rp470 million for the Jakarta area. Almaz Hybrid runs on a 1.8 kWh-capacity battery.
