336 Aftershocks Recorded in Cianjur until Wednesday Morning

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Aftershocks in Cianjur continue to occur although they become less frequent. Acting head of the Earthquake and Tsunami Center of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Daryono, said that the Cianjur aftershocks were becoming infrequent and less in strength.
Daryono tweeted an update on his social media account regarding the aftershocks. "Update for the Cianjur aftershocks until Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 05:00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time), there were 336 earthquakes," he said.
Previously on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 06:00 WIB, 317 aftershocks were recorded.
The Victims
On the other hand, the joint SAR team recovered four buried bodies on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Putting the total number of 327 victims who have died.
Commander of Military District 0608 Cianjur, Lieutenant Colonel Arm Haryanto, explained that the four bodies found by the search and rescue team were located in Cijedil Village, Cugenang District. According to Haryanto, with the discovery of the four bodies, there are only five people left who are still on the search list.
"However, based on reports, there are additional missing victims. We received news from the Head of Cijedil Village that six people are missing, and from the village head of Mangunkerta, there are two more people," Haryanto said during a press conference at the Cianjur Regency Hall, Tuesday.
With this report, said Haryanto, the list of missing victims has increased to 13 people. However, it has not been confirmed whether the eight people who were reported missing from both villages were victims of the earthquake or not.
"Meanwhile, 595 people were seriously injured. From the numbers, there are about 68 people still being treated at all hospitals," he said.
Until now, 451 evacuation points have been established around Cianjur. In detail, as many as 333 are centralized evacuations and 118 are independent.
