Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Resumes Hong Kong Route

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali resumed regular international flights to Hong Kong using Cathay Pacific starting Sunday, November 27, 2022. Indonesia’s state-run airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I President Director Faik Fahmi welcomed the route reopening.
“Slowly but surely, regular international routes served by I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport before the pandemic are now starting to operate again,” said Faik in a statement, Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
At the end of 2019, the international airport served 48 regular international flight routes using 34 international airlines. With the reoperation of this route, the airport will serve as many as 24 regular international flight routes with 27 international airlines.
According to the schedule, Cathay Pacific will serve seven flights of the Hong Kong-Bali round-trip route per week.
Before the global COVID-19 pandemic, Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport recorded serving 671,168 passengers and 2,764 aircraft movements to and from Hong Kong throughout 2019.
