TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta’s daily COVID-19 cases have soared in recent weeks. The hospital bed occupation rate (BOR), however, is still under control.
"It's still under control and there are enough beds," said dr. Ngabila Salama, the head of the surveillance, epidemiology, and immunization unit at the city’s Health Agency on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Quoted from the Health Ministry’s official website, the bed occupation rate (BOR) indicates the percentage use of beds at hospitals.
According to the government’s data, the number of active cases in the capital as of November 24, 2022, reached 1,287. The total number of confirmed cases amounted to 1,504,600 since January 2020. The number of patients who recovered from the disease hit 1,464,960, while the death toll was recorded at 15,766.
From these data, 22,587 people are still undergoing self-isolation. At least 66 hospitals across the city provide beds for COVID-19 patients.
There are 14 hospitals in South Jakarta, 12 hospitals in East Jakarta, 15 hospitals in Central Jakarta, 13 hospitals in West Jakarta, and 12 hospitals in East Jakarta. Information about the bed availability is accessible on corona.jakarta.go.id
