TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Health Agency’s head of the epidemiology surveillance and immunization unit, Ngabila Salama, said the second booster vaccine for the elderly is available in all vaccination services in the capital city. Vaccination centers will open every day until the end of this year.

"Monday-Sunday at 9:00-12:00 until December 31, 2022," she said in a text message, Thursday, 24 November 2022.

Ngabila said that the fourth dose of vaccination only applies to health workers and the elderly. The available Covid-19 vaccines are from Pfizer and Zifivax.

This second booster vaccine is also available at Lapangan Banteng Park, Central Jakarta.

"As long as the elderly already have the fourth ticket in the PeduliLindungi application, they can come to the vaccination location in Jakarta," she said.

Elderly who have just tested negative for Covid-19 can be injected with the fourth dose of vaccine one month after recovering. The Jakarta government started a booster vaccination service for the elderly yesterday.
