Fire Breaks Out at Residential Areas in North Jakarta's Koja

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A fire breaks out at a residential area on Jalan Deli Lorang 27 No. 12 Koja District, North Jakarta, on Thursday afternoon, November 24, 2022. Residents reported the incident to the Fire Mitigation and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat) at 11:22 Jakarta time.

A spokesperson for the Jakarta Fire Mitigation and Rescue Agency, Saepullah, said that his party mobilized 10 units of fire trucks consisting of 50 personnel.

Firefighters arrived at the location at 11:26 WIB and started the extinguishing operations two minutes later. The blaze was localized at 11:37 WIB. The officers managed to cool it down at 11:45 WIB, and at 12:01 WIB the blaze was declared extinguished.

Saepullah said the cause of the fire was still unknown. “It is still under investigation,” he said to Tempo on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
