5.6 M Earthquake Rocks Banda Sea

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A slightly strong earthquake measured at magnitude 5.6 on the Richter scale was detected on Tuesday evening of November 22 that originated from the northwestern part of Southeast Maluku.
Initial information from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) suggests the quake happened at 23:24 Indonesia Western Time (WIB) that came from 190 kilometers northwest of Southeast Maluku from a depth of 63 kilometers.
It was felt at Saumlaki and Banda at MMI III and II scale, according to BMKG.
The previous earthquake from the Banda Sea, and its shaking can be felt, occurred last Thursday and Tuesday. Each has a magnitude of M4.8 and 5.2. All of them, including the latest M5.6 earthquake tonight, did not cause a tsunami.
