Green Power Rangers Actor Jason David Frank Dies at 49

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Actor Jason David Frank – who is known for playing Tommy Oliver a.k.a the green Power Ranger in the Mighty Morphine Power Rangers franchise – has reportedly died at the age of 49 in Texas, says Jason’s representative Justine Hunt, according to TMZ report. The same report suggests that the death of the actor and mixed martial artist was due to suicide. 

"Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being. He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly be missed,” says Justine to the U.S-based media. 

Fellow actors who also played in the superhero franchise spoke up following news of his passing. Walter Jones, who played the Black Ranger says "He was an inspiration to so many people. His presence will be dearly missed. It’s so sad to lose another member of our Ranger family."

Jason David Frank, a father of four children, played in the original Mighty Morphine Power Rangers franchise and other Power Rangers adaptations such as Wild Force, Turbo, Zeo, Dino Thunder, Megaforce, Ninja Steel, and HyperForce.
