TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Presidential Palace confirmed on Monday that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has remained healthy after meeting Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee, who tested positive for Covid-19, South China Morning Post reported.
“The President’s condition is healthy and very fit,” said the Presidential Secretariate Office’s deputy of protocol and press Bey Machmudin on November 21.
Jokowi had met with Lee in between the APEC leaders’ summit at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok, on Friday, November 18. The two discussed issues related to trade cooperation, investments, and the protection of Indonesians in Hong Kong.
In the meeting, Widodo believes there is growth potential in cooperating with Hong Kong for equal trade cooperation. He also invited local investors to invest in Indonesia’s ambitious project in relocating the capital city from Jakarta to Kalimantan, touted the Nusantara or IKN.
