Transjakarta, KCIC Sign MoU for Transportation Integration

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - City-owned transportation firm PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) and PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) signed a memorandum of understanding for the integration of transportation and supportive business as the realization of the expansion of intermodal integration services.
“This partnership is the implementation of the integration of public transportation in Jakarta between Transjakarta and KCIC," said the Head of the Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizakni Noor in a written statement, Saturday, October 22, 2022.
The MoU signing that took place at the KCIC office on Friday night, Oct. 21, was represented by Transjakarta president director M. Yana Aditya and PT KCIC president director Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi. Also present at the event were SOE deputy minister II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo and Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) president director Didiek Hartantyo.
Transjakarta would provide transportation service in Jakarta Greater Area or Jabodetabek to support the mobilization of KCIC passengers from and to Halim station, as well as the supporting business that has been agreed upon together.
“To optimize public transport integration, Transjakarta will also coordinate with access and facility providers for the operational,” he said.
The success of transportation integration will affect people's preference to opt for public transport as their main mobility transportation. People can travel freely by the combination of public transport.
The MoU will take effect for one year to facilitate communication, negotiation, and conducting required studies, as well as provide information regarding collaboration and improve added values for both companies.
