TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The premeditated murder of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J will go to trial soon. The family of the Brigadier had confirmed they will attend the trial, which would be at the South Jakarta District Court, where they will testify as witnesses.
The five suspects in the murder case: Ferdy Sambo, his wife Putri Candrawathi, and his aids de camp Richard Eliezer, Ricky Rizal, and Kuat Ma'ruf, have all been transferred to the Attorney General's Office on Wednesday, October 5.
On Thursday, Yosua's family's lawyer, Irma Hutabarat, said that Yosua's father Samuel Hutabarat; his mother, Rosti Simanjuntak, and his brother Reza Hutabarat will come to Jakarta from Jambi, along with Yosua's girlfriend Vera Simanjuntak.
"They will take the witness chair. Once the trial begins and if they are called, they will fly to Jakarta," Irma said, on October 6.
The South Jakarta District Court is now preparing to hold the trial. Yesterday, the court's spokesman Haruno said that the courthouse is basically ready to hear any case. However, for cases that receive huge public attention, there will be extra preparation.
