TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Mandiri president director Darmawan Junaidi said that the Livin' by Mandiri app will be usable overseas starting in October 2022. This, he said, will make it easier for Indonesian migrant workers to access services offered by the state-owned bank.
"God willing, by October the Livin' by Mandiri can be used by IMEI bases abroad with overseas SIM cards, as long as the Indonesian citizen has a [residence number]," he said in a hearing Meeting with the Commission XI of the House of Representatives in Jakarta today, September 28.
Any Indonesian living or working abroad will be able to use Bank Mandiri services offered by the mobile app, as long as the person has a valid residence number or NIK.
Not only that, Darmawan said that Bank Mandiri is also continuing to increase the transaction service capacity of the Livin' by Mandiri app, which currently stands at 15,000 per second, to reach 50,000 per second by the end of the year.
Through various feature developments of the Livin' by Mandiri app, customers won't have to come to branch offices to get services. Bank Mandiri is also currently transforming its 241 branch offices into smart branches providing tech-based services.
