Ferdy Sambo Dishonorably Discharged as Police Reject Appeal

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian National Police code of ethics committee rejected the appeal of former internal affairs chief Ferdy Sambo - who is incriminated in the murder case of his Aide, Brigadier Yosua - over his dishonorable discharge verdict.
"The appeal commission's verdict is to deny Ferdy Sambo's appeal," said Commissioner General Agung Budi Maryoto at the National Police Headquarters on Monday, September 19, 2022.
The ethics committee argued that the violation committed by Sambo is disgraceful and is subject to administrative sanction.
The court of appeal was led by Commissioner General Agung Budi Maryoto, Inspector General Remigius Sigid Tri Hardjono, Inspector General Wahyu Widada, Inspector General Setyo Budi Mumpuni, and inspector General Indra Miza.
As previously reported, the police code of ethics commission found Ferdy Sambo violating the police ethical code and handed Sambo a dishonorable discharge.
Ferdy Sambo has been named as a suspect for obstruction of justice in the murder of brigadier Yosua or brigadier J, along with six other police officers. Out of the seven suspects, the national police has dishonorably discharged Chuck Putranto, Baiquni Wibowo, Agus Nurpatria, and Ferdy Sambo.
