TEMPO.CO, JakartaIndonesia's Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno will invite Elon Musk to give a public lecture on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Bali in November 2022. Sandiaga said that the Tesla and SpaceX chief will give a public lecture to Indonesia's best and selected university students.

The general concept of the guest lecture is to motivate young people in Indonesia.

"We want him to motivate Indonesia's best students, some of whom will gather in Bali while others will join online," Sandiaga said in an interview with Tempo at his office in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 6.

Sandiaga said that he could not confirm whether Elon Musk would actually be able to come to give the lecture. But the minister hopes that the public lecture session with the rocket man can act as a magnet for Indonesia's tourism sector and creative economy during the G20 Summit. The series of events are also included in the Business 20 or B20 Summit meeting on November 13-14.

Sandiaga Uno ensured that the preparations for the G20 Summit or Summit which will take place in Bali in November 2022 are going as planned.

In Bali, preparations are underway and expected to be ready by October. The Ngurah Rai Airport's VVIP Terminal has been revamped and will be used as a parking lot for high-ranking G20 state officials. Security for heads of state and guests from various countries will be coordinated by the police and the armed forces.

Sandi said that all infrastructure and logistics are being prepared in numerous places, from accommodation, transportation, communication networks, roads, and electricity networks, to EV charging stations.
