TEMPO.CO, Depok - The wealth of Ari Kuncoro, the University of Indonesia's rector, has seen a significant increase of Rp35 billion after he took the position as the leader of the academic institution. The rector’s electronic wealth reporting (LHKPN) data was revealed by the campus’ Student Executive Board BEM UI in its Instagram post.
BEM UI’s social account @bemui_official claims Kuncoro’s LHKPN as of March 26 “Reached a total wealth of Rp62,321,869.525 as the rector of UI.”
Prior to his position as the leader of the campus, Ari Kuncoro’s reported net wealth amounted to Rp27,873,760 in 2018. His Rp35 billion wealth bump happened throughout his three years as a rector.
According to the student executive body, the position of Rector of UI for 3 years is quite short-term, if you look at the addition of assets reaching more than Rp 35 billion.
"The big question is, where did all the coffers of wealth come from," BEM UI asserted. "Only God and Ari Kuncoro can answer all that."
