TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura I (AP I) announced that it has implemented the latest airline travel policy that is explained under the Transportation Ministry’s circular No.82/2022 overseeing air transportation amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Based on the latest government circular, 15 airports managed by AP I are offering Covid-19 vaccination centers.
“Angkasa Pura I supports and implements the latest travel regulation overseen by the Transportation Minister’s circular No.82/2022 simultaneously across 15 airports that we manage and will be effective as of August 29,” said AP I president director Faik Fahmi in his statement on August 29.
This move aligns with the government’s goal of accelerating the national vaccination program and better facilitating passengers in obtaining vaccines, which has now become a requirement prior to boarding any commercial flight.
"The vaccination center service that is presented at the airport is expected to increase the number of second and third dose vaccinations or booster vaccinations for all airport service users," he added.
As for the operation of the vaccination center service, Angkasa Pura I has cooperated with a number of agencies including the Port Health Office (KKP), TNI (national armed forces), Polri (national police), Airport Authority Office, and the Regional Covid-19 Handling Task Force.
