TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said six people were at the crime scene where the fatal shooting of Brigadier J took place, including Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.
In a press conference at the National Police Headquarters last Tuesday, Listyo said the fact came from a special team headed by Police Deputy Chief Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono after collecting the statements of the six witnesses.
“And of course, we found conformity in the examinations that we have carried out on the witnesses who were at the crime scene and other related witnesses. They are RE, RR, KM, AR, P, and FS,” said Listyo Sigit on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
Based on the witness’ statement and the evidence found during the investigation process, the special team discovered that there was no gunfight between Brigadier J and Bharada E a.k.a Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu.
“The special team found that it was the shooting of Brother J which led to death and committed by RE on the orders of FS,” said the National Police Chief.
Of the six people who were at the crime scene, four of them have been named as suspects. Other than Ferdy Sambo, they are Richard Eliezer (Bharada E), Ricky Rizal (Brigadier RR), and KM, who is the personal driver of Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Candrawathi. They could be charged with multi-layered articles and face the death penalty, life imprisonment, or maximum imprisonment of 20 years.
