President Jokowi Departs for West Kalimantan Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and First Lady Iriana have left for West Kalimantan for a working visit today, August 9, 2022. Boarding the Presidential Aircraft Indonesia-1, the President and the entourage took off from Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at around 07:00 Jakarta time.
Upon arrival at Supadio International Airport, Kubu Raya Regency, the journey is resumed by boarding a Super Puma helicopter of the Indonesian Navy (TNI AU) to Mempawah Regency.
The state head is scheduled to inaugurate Kijing Terminal, Pontianak Port in Mempawah Regency. After the inauguration event, the President headed to Sungai Duri Market, Bengkayang Regency, to hand over social assistance to the beneficiary communities and traders.
After that, the former mayor of Solo will fly again with the helicopter and return to Supadio International Airport, Kubu Raya Regency to inaugurate towers A and B of dr. Soedarso Hospital in Pontianak City.
At the end of the official visits, President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana will immediately return to Jakarta.
