88rising to Hold Head in The Clouds Festival in Jakarta

2 August 2022 15:42 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaRecord label and media company 88rising is set to hold a music and arts festival dubbed Head In The Clouds (HITC) in Indonesia’s capital at the end of this year after two years of absence due to the lingering COVID-19 pandemic. The festival will last for two days on December 3-4, 2022, at Community Park PIK, North Jakarta.

This will be the US-based music company’s first international two-day event. Declared as one of the 10 most innovative live events of 2022 by Fast Company, the HITC festival will feature renowned artists from around the globe and present unique and stunning production concepts, as well as Indonesian arts exhibitions and cuisines.

The festival was first launched in 2018 as the first Asian-centric music festival in the US. It became a two-day festival in 2021 and made the latest comeback in August 2022 in Los Angeles, California.

“We are very happy to finally bring the only Asian music festival in the world to a city that is close to our hearts Jakarta,” said Sean Miyashiro, founder and CEO of 88rising, in a press release received by Tempo on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Tickets to Head In The Cloud Festival Jakarta 2022 go on sale on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 10:00 Jakarta time via http://jkt.hitcfestival.com. Visitors are also required to have the booster COVID-19 vaccine dose to enter the festival venue.
