Businesses Welcome Govt Decision to Extend Tax Incentive until Year-end

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian business actors are appreciative towards the government's decision to extend the tax incentive policy until December 31 this year. Initially, the policy was to end on June 30.

Businesses believe that the timing of this incentive is perfect, which is when the business world has started to recover, but not on a full scale.

The Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) chairman, Hariyadi Sukamdani, said that the incentives have been very helpful for business actors in terms of reducing costs.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) deputy chair Shinta Widjaja Khamdani said that the incentives can help businesses avoid and/or prevent risks in times of global market uncertainties and inflation uptrends in the domestic market.

"I think at the very least this incentive extension would be effective in helping to reduce the burden of business actors and the government in improving economic performance until the end of the year," Shinta told Bisnis.
