Jokowi Distributes Social Aid, Meets with Farmers in Subang

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi this morning, July 12, left for Subang of West Java Province for a working visit. He was scheduled to distribute social assistance to the residents and meet with local farmers.
Boarding the Indonesian Air Force Super Puma helicopter, the state head departed from the Indonesian Air Force Base Atang Sendjaja in Bogor at around 07:30 Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
Upon arrival at the helicopter pad of Sang Hyang Seri Field in Subang, he headed to Sukamandi Market. “To deliver a number of social assistance for the beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and traders,” as quoted from the Palace’s release.
He thus continued the journey to the Rice Research Center (BBPadi) to monitor the collection and conservation of rice germplasm, seed production units for rice sources, rice varieties, and innovative products from the Ministry of Agriculture.
He was also scheduled to hold a dialogue with representatives of rice farmers.
After the visit, the President would return to the helicopter pad at Perum Sang Hyang Seri Field and then take off to Jakarta using the same helicopter.
Officials accompanying Jokowi in today’s working visit include Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
