TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura I (AP I) opened two new international flights to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali. The flights serve the round-trip Manila-Bali and Singapore-Bali routes.
“With the operation of these two routes, Ngurah Rai Airport currently serves 46 international departure schedules and 48 international arrival schedules,” said AP I President Director Faik Fahmi in his statement, Monday, July 4, 2022.
The flight connecting Singapore to Bali is operated by flag-carrier Garuda Indonesia, while the Manila-Bali flight is served by Philippine Airlines.
“The two inaugural flights that just arrived in Bali yesterday are a positive sign in two aspects,” said Faik.
First, Bali is still an international tourist attraction that is in great demand by global citizens. Second, the aviation industry is increasingly recovering after the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the addition of these two flights, Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport is now connected to 19 international airports in eleven countries.
