President Jokowi Arrives in Ukraine to Meet President Zelenskyy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo, or Jokowi, and his entourage have arrived at Kyiv, Ukraine, at 08:50 local time after departing from Przemysl on Tuesday evening on an 11-hour train trip.
They were greeted by the Ukrainian foreign affairs deputy minister Dmytro Senik, Head of the Ukrainian-Indonesian Intergovernmental Relations Commission Taras Kachka, and officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Kyiv at the Kyiv Central Station.
A press statement from the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, announced that the President and First Lady Iriana will remain in Ukraine to conduct a number of activities during their fourth day of the Presidential foreign visit.
Jokowi is scheduled to visit the remains of Lipky Apartment in the city of Irpin, Center for Endocrine Science and Surgery, Ukrainian Endocrine Organ and Tissue Transplant, before heading off to the Mariinsky Palace and meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Indonesian President is then scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow under a peacekeeping mission.
"I will call for President Putin to open the chance for a dialogue and call for an immediate truce and end the war," said Jokowi in the press release.
From Moscow, Jokowi will then fly to the United Arab Emirates where he is scheduled to meet with the country’s leaders in bilateral talks about investments and economic partnership. Vice President Ma’ruf Amin has taken charge of presidential duties during Jokowi's overseas visits.
